Lena Ahlberg has reported from the northern border since 2015, first for a regional daily in Vasa and, since 2021, for this newsroom. She was part of the team whose reporting on the fuel annex forced its publication, and she writes the weekly Corridor notebook. Before journalism she worked as a Russian and Finnish interpreter for a shipping agency, which is how she first learned the roads she now drives every month.
